I was raised with knowledge of the local plants of the Pacific N.W. plus in middle age going back to the U.of Washington for a botany degree, forestry minor. Specialty in mycorrhizosphere saprophytic fungi. Now aged eco-activist and Pac NW Native American art woodcarver. I feel remiss that I've never taken the time to thank you for the work it takes to put out this email feature. It's greatly appreciated.

P.S.--I hope people will use the comment feature since it enables conversations, perhaps creative ideas, and informative remarks by people who know more about a particular subject.
BTW, I did a search for the name of a professor whose paleobotany art was mentioned in TWIB; finding his university email, I wrote to tell him how much I enjoyed it.
